Sibling Grief Group: 4-6 Year OIds

Little Lights (Ages 4–6)

Little Lights is a therapist-led creative grief group designed especially for our youngest siblings who have experienced the loss of a baby brother or sister during pregnancy, infancy, or childhood. Through stories, play, hands-on creative activities, and gentle conversation, children are given the opportunity to begin understanding grief in ways that are meaningful and developmentally appropriate.

Each one-hour session explores a different grief-related topic—such as understanding loss, naming big feelings, remembering a sibling, coping with change, or discovering healthy ways to express emotions. Every session includes a children's story, a simple educational component, interactive games, a creative activity, and plenty of opportunities for sharing, asking questions, and connecting with others.

While the sessions are designed to build upon one another, each one also stands alone, allowing families to register for a single session or the full series.

Parents are not required to participate in the session; however, we kindly ask that they remain onsite in our family space in case their little one needs extra comfort or support. This allows children to explore independently while knowing a trusted caregiver is close by.

Our hope is that every child leaves knowing that their feelings are welcome, their sibling will always be remembered, and they are never alone.
